Here at Collins Maintenance Repair and Overhaul UK facility in Marston Green, we provide specialist technical support for Electronic Engine Control, Fuel Metering units, Actuators and Pump units widely used in the Aerospace industry.

Position Summary:
Reporting to the Value Stream Leader, the Engineering Manager will be responsible to develop technical capability of the Engineering function and manage resources to support the operations teams and deliver Engineering projects. The successful candidate will ideally have experience of working in an Aerospace Aftermarket Part 145 approved facility and have the ability to manage multidisciplinary engineering teams in complex environment.

The Engineering Manager will be a technical and people leader, able to inspire, influence and build a world-class team that creates competitive advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and direction to a team of engineers

Ensure product compliance in the Value Stream Develop product based problem resolution Provide customer engineering technical support, reporting, and communication Resolve internal and supplier product issues and unit holds Ensure due process and rigor is followed when conducting product investigations Develop the teams engineering skills and attributes to support the Value Stream Lead process improvement to reduce unit holds (quantity and time) Create Engineering and Product reports Ensure engineering processes and compliance requirements are met in the Value Stream Ensure Engineering requirements for new programmes and scope changes are met to the required timescales for the Value Stream and wider organisation Plan, lead and execute improvement initiatives Manage and allocate resources Interact with all other functions at the site and support daily operations via tiered meeting process Develop measures of performance and the necessary governance system to ensure delivery of business and department goals Responsible for the health and safety of the Engineering department Development and execution of Technical Audits across the ECS business

What you need to succeed?

Essential Criteria:

Degree level qualification in a related Engineering discipline with relevant working experience gained in a manufacturing environment Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Pragmatic with the ability to find compliant solutions Strong ICT skills

Desirable Criteria

Working experience within the Aerospace industry, particularly Part 145 Experience working in a comparable people management role with direct reports Lean and problem solving skills
