We are seeking an experienced and ambitious full-time Medical Director & Consultant Psychiatrist who will work at Cygnet Hospital Woking and Cygnet Lodge Woking and provide senior medical care on our 10-bedded Female PICU and 5-bedded Acute Female services.
The post holder will be the Medical Director at Cygnet Hospital Woking and Cygnet Lodge Hospital Woking offers a range of mental health services for men and women. Cygnet Lodge Woking, our sister hospital close by, provides a high dependency inpatient rehabilitation service for men and extends our care pathway.
As part of this role, the post holder will also be the Responsible Clinician on Female PICU and Acute services and will oversee and maintain the care of all ward inpatients as required and will also have responsibility for auditing the medical services rendered at the ward and ensuring their good quality in accordance to GMC standards of good medical practice and other relevant professional guidelines.
In this role, you'll combine clinical expertise with sound strategic acumen and inspiring leadership to oversee the delivery of the very best care whilst fully supported by a Specialty Doctor and first-class multidisciplinary team including qualified nurses, psychologist and occupational therapist.
Main duties of the job
Cygnet Hospital Woking offers a range of mental health services for men and women. Cygnet Lodge Woking, our sister hospital close by, provides a high dependency inpatient rehabilitation service for men and extends our care pathway.
We focus on providing a safe, calm, therapeutic environment. Care for adults is provided within a low secure environment. Inside the hospital, everyone has an individual en-suite bedroom and there is outdoor space available. The hospital offers a range of spaces including social, relaxation, private and activity areas.
The post holder will be the Medical Director at Woking Hospital and Lodge and also the Responsible Clinician on the Female PICU and Acute units and have overall medical responsibility of patient treatment plans, whilst liaising closely with the Multi-Disciplinary Team (Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Registered Mental Health Nurses, Social Workers etc.)
The post holder will be expected to act as a positive role model, maintaining and demonstrating a positive attitude towards patients, their families, visitors and other staff.
