About the Role

Join our distinguished security team as a Security Officer

Working 42 Hours per week with various shift patterns including days and nights. Reporting directly to the onsite Supervisor, you will become a key contributor on a large site for an international defence and aerospace company. 

As a pivotal member of our team, you will play a crucial role in protecting critical information across air, maritime, land and cyber domains. Your responsibilities will include the secure protection of property, company assets and the safety of visiting customers and employees.

Job Opportunity
  • Control and monitor access at control points, including vehicle barriers and reception stations; issue and manage access control passes
  • Conduct regular internal and external patrols, in all weather conditions to ensure site security
  • Escort contractors and visitors; register them, issue temporary badges and manage vehicle bookings
  • Monitor CCTV systems to detect suspicious activities and respond to security breaches; provide a proactive and visible security presence
  • Work collaboratively with the site security team, communicate effectively with team members and the onsite Supervisor and respond promptly to security incidents and emergencies

Essential Skills
  • SIA Licence
  • Full UK Driving Licence with own transport due to location of sites
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Be able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Right to work in the UK and 5 year checkable history including education and/or employment
  • Be able to pass a high level of security clearance
  • Previous security experience - 1-2yrs minimum
  • Experience with gatehouse operations, CCTV use and Access Control passes
  • IT Literate
