Job summary
We are looking for expressions of interest from RegisteredClinical or Forensic psychologists to work on full time or sessional basis into Ocean Community Services.
We are proud to provide progressive, recovery focused andperson centred community service for people with complex needs connected tomental health problems and / or learning disability. Many of our service usershave a long history of inpatient care. Our work as a clinical team is centredon helping people to live fulfilling lives in the community, either throughdirect work or through consultation and support to staff teams.
Main duties of the job
To deliver on our goals we need to continue to grow a teamof dedicated expert clinicians who are able to combine a person centredapproach with evidence-based practice. We are interested in talking to peoplewith specific interests and expertise in behavioural and cognitive behaviouralapproaches and positive behaviour support. People with experience in forensicsettings and with an interest in treatment approaches for complex trauma areparticularly encouraged to apply.

You will be joining the service at an exciting time we arecurrently rolling out our own evidence based personalised psychological care approach,Recovery in Supported Environments (RISE) which has been designed around thevalues of the Wales Social Services and Wellbeing Act : wellbeing, people,partnership and prevention. This approach is our way of supporting teams toprovide care to people with complex needs while upholding the values of personcentred care, and ensuring that we remain focused - at all times - on outcomesfor the person.

To providea specialised psychological assessment and therapy to the clients of the IrisCare Group Group
To work autonomously in accordancewith The British Psychological Society Code of Conduct, Ethical Principles& Guidelines 2004 and the overall framework of the teams policies andprocedures
To contribute to the development oflocal team policies and procedures in order to facilitate improvements inservice quality
To train other professionals andcontribute to the training of trainee clinical psychologists
To utilise specialised researchskills for audit, policy and service development, and research.
Person Specification
Qualifications
Essential
Postgraduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996) as accredited by the BPS, including specifically models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics and neuropsychology, two or more distinct psychological therapies and lifespan developmental psychology Or post graduate qualification in forensic psychology meeting HCPC registration requirements. Specialist post doctoral training and experience in problems related people with complex trauma / severe mental illness.-
