Cambridge, United Kingdom Slater Gordon Full time

We are actively recruiting for a talented lawyer to join our serious injury team in Cambridge.

We’re looking for an individual who can demonstrate prior experience and expertise working on claims of the utmost severity, such as brain and spinal injury and amputation cases, with a background in road traffic accidents.

This role is ideal for someone who wishes to gain further exposure to working on high value cases working as part of a team, exclusively for claimants and almost exclusively on multi-million pound cases.

We’re looking for someone who can undertake substantive work on these cases with minimal assistance. You will be given the opportunity to be involved in the cases from the outset and will continue to be closely involved throughout their duration, giving you the opportunity to understand the issues involved to enable you to assist with tasks including instructing appropriate medical experts, dealing with disclosure, proofing witnesses and preparing well-structured witness statements. You will attend conferences with clients and leading counsel, MDT and pathfinder meetings and have frequent client/family contact.

What we offer in return:

We offer a flexible agile working environment, alongside a competitive salary and benefits package including 25 days holiday allowance plus the option to purchase an extra 5 days, pension scheme, private medical insurance, life assurance and income protection insurance. The role will give you the opportunity to develop a rewarding and successful career within one of the top personal injury departments in the capital.

Slater and Gordon are a leading consumer law firm, and our mission is to give people easier access to world class legal services. We are a legal services business powered by technology and led by people who support clients at every step of their case.

At Slater and Gordon Lawyers (UK) we are inclusive. We celebrate multiple approaches and points of view. We believe diversity drives innovation. So, we’re building a culture where difference is valued. Our culture motivates our employees to give their full selves to the job and invest in the company’s future.

If you have got the talent, ambition and focus and are looking for a stimulating and rewarding career please contact Steven Baylis at
