Scopely is looking for a talented and experienced Senior Character Artist to join our team based from the UK, Ireland, Spain or Portugal on a hybrid/remote basis

We are in the early stages of development on an ambitious, unannounced, cross-platform Strategy/MMO title, creating a team of talented and passionate game makers to join us on this exciting journey

What You’ll Do

As a Senior member of the Character Art Team you will be working closely with your Team Lead and Art Director to deliver world class character assets set within an exciting IP based project. The ideal candidate will present a broad portfolio of realistic and stylised art that showcases a high level of ability in character modeling, texturing and materials. You will work closely with the Character Art Lead and Project Art Director to deliver the highest quality in game character art and character accessories Implement and understand the usage of realistic PBR materials that are on style and display optimally within game engine Demonstrate a detailed understanding of human anatomy and proportion Create endearing, memorable models that reflect the personalities of the characters within the game Assist in the maintenance of character production pipelines and documentation Communicate with our Tech Art and Code teams to ensure pipelines and tools are effective, optimal and capable of delivery Collaborate with the Tech Art and the Animation Team regarding skinning and modeling standards for believable character articulation Work closely with your lead and production team to create schedules and deliver to deadlines Consistently strive to exceed the highest quality standards of the studio What We’re Looking For

You will be able to demonstrate a history of creating stunning character models in a variety of different styles Experience in shipping multiple titles in your career as a Character Artist Excellent understanding of anatomy, costume, characterisation and a soild understanding of PBR materials Exceptional sculpting ability in ZBrush and deep knowledge of Maya/ Max, Substance Painter Experience building photorealistic and stylised characters for AAA titles Solid communication, time management, organisational and interpersonal skills Positive approach and an ability to receive and act upon feedback
