To help us continue this, we are looking for an R&D Workshop/Lab Technician to maintain the efficient operation of the R&D workshop(s) and to enable and support the wider teams in design and development of new medical devices under the New Product Development function.

Please Note: This is a 12-Month Fixed Term Contract.

What will you be doing?

Working hand in hand with design engineers to ensure the workshop is fit for purpose for both the mechanical and electrical/electronic domains. Ensuring all equipment is well maintained, appropriately stored, and remains within calibration proactively. Supporting in hands on prototype build and test activities in collaboration with development engineers. Identifying new laboratory equipment to support the new project development pipeline such as rapid prototyping equipment and test and measurement equipment. Maintaining high standards of occupational health and safety in the workplace.

What does success look like?

Our successful candidate will be educated in a relevant subject area and have proven background working in a Laboratory or R&D workshop environment with exposure to Electrical/electronic test and development activities. This can be either in an industrial or educational setting.

You'll possess knowledge and experience in the use of workshop/lab equipment such as soldering tools, power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes, 3D printers and hand tools.
