About the role

The Commercialisation & Pricing Associate will be a key point of contact for information flow between Ocado Technology and Ocado Solutions. Working closely with the Technology teams to establish clarity on new product sales readiness. Ensuring that Technology provide the level of detail and accuracy needed to effectively commercialise new products that Solutions are providing the feedback and inputs Technology needs to help drive the product development.

They will also support the sales process by providing visibility of commercial sales progress vs our business objectives. Helping to identify key challenges, and coordinating additional support required to help the business achieve its commercial goals.

You will (accountabilities)
  • Working with Ocado Technology to successfully commercialise new products. Ensuring a strong understanding of the key product benefits, costs and development timelines
  • Establishing and updating product pricing structures and targets, including regular sign-off sessions with the TechSol leadership team
  • Ensuring product sales materials e.g. marketing content and contractual documentation have been developed and are regularly updated
  • Building and maintaining product pricing models that can be used for specific sales opportunities
  • Supporting the development of external pricing proposals. Building and localising a deal pricing model, and ensuring proposals are aligned to central guidance
  • Track and report on the sales of products to existing partners and prospects, providing targeted support where required
  • Identifying and assessing commercialisation opportunities associated with new product development

About you (experience we seek)

Essential exp:
  • Excellent interpersonal skills - ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally
  • Financial modelling skills - able to quickly build and understand cash-flow models
  • Commercial experience - strong understanding of a retailer P&L, key capital return measures and the associated commercial drivers
  • Ability to influence - able to work with varying stakeholder levels across the business to drive action and change
  • Strong presentation skills - ability to adapt communication style to connect and influence different stakeholders across the business
  • Proactive approach - willingness to get things done, with an ability to leverage both formal & informal channels to drive action and progress
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - can quickly understand and simplify complex technical problems
  • Organisation skills - able to effectively manage and prioritise workload, taking accountability for progress of actions
