Newcastle College require a dedicated and enthusiastic person to take on the role of ESOL Student Community Advisor. You will work with adult ESOL learners at Riverside Dene, supporting learners with pastoral issues. You will be required to keep records of support requested and provided. 

The main responsibilities of this role include: 

To support learners filling in applications for travel and childcare support 

To support or signpost learners with a variety of other pastoral issues 

To liaise with the ESOL team with regards to individual learners 

To keep records of support given and share with appropriate staff 

The candidate must be confident using Microsoft software including Excel and Word to keep detailed records. 

The candidate must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The candidate must be willing to work with students with all language ability and have patience with students who struggle with their own communication skills.
