Kitchen Assistant

The role
Our Kitchen Assistants focus on supporting kitchen team in creating in creating positively memorable dining experiences for our guests. This role reports directly to the Kitchen Manager and is part of a team based from our attractive hotel in Runcorn (WA7 3HA).
Kitchen Assistant duties include:
Dishwashing: All dishes ranging from pots and pans to cutlery are either hand washed or loaded into the dishwasher Delivery Organisation: As a Kitchen Porter you will be responsible for receiving deliveries and ensuring they are organised once in the kitchen Storage Management: Storage must be organised so that all ingredients are easily accessible Waste Removal: All waste bins are emptied, ensuring all waste is disposed of promptly Basic Food Preparation: When the kitchen is extremely busy, kitchen staff may ask you to support with basic food prep Material collection: If your Chefs need materials or ingredients, you will support by collecting themBeyond that, you'll represent our company values and culture, ensuring that service excellence remains our top priority.
Other businesses may call this role Kitchen Porter.

What you’ll bring to the team
Due to spending a lot of time on your feet and unloading heavy deliveries you will need a good physical fitness. Efficiency in fast-paced environment and strong communication skills are key. You will be able to follow instructions and be adaptable to meet the needs of both company and guests.
