What will you be doing?

As a key member of the hydrogen group, your time and effort will be split across bespoke consulting activities and supporting the Hydrogen Intelligence Service (HIS) subscription research team. You'll provide hydrogen expertise across the business to ensure our deliverables provide first-class insights to clients. You will also play a key role in business development activities across the hydrogen space. In each area your key responsibilities will include: 

Consulting 

Delivering hydrogen modelling and analysis that underpins our hydrogen projects for LCP Delta’s clients and delivering insightful reports and presentations. Example projects could include sizing and forecasting growth in different hydrogen offtaker markets, modelling hydrogen assets performance and operational profiles, and assessing the future need for hydrogen infrastructure under different scenarios Supporting the development and evolution of new hydrogen models and tools to help enable the energy transition (e.g. hydrogen price forecasting) Managing consulting projects, leading teams to deliver and working closely with clients Supporting with client engagement and business development e.g. through thought leadership, attending key conferences, and supporting with the development of proposals & bids

Subscription research support 

Providing the research team with expert support to shape and develop its research outputs to ensure these are market-leading in the hydrogen space across the value chain. The types of support will include: 

providing insight into global hydrogen market and policy developments to help the team deliver commercial intelligence to support subscribers and build relevance to a wider client base bringing specialist knowledge and providing expert inputs and content for subscriber reports into hydrogen industry trends, business models, and projects Support and participate in research calls with industry contacts to help the team investigate specific topics building strong relationships and engagement with a wide range of stakeholders that cover the hydrogen value chain, and sharing feedback or insights from this with the research team Shaping and reviewing reports and deliverables 

You'll also be;

Supporting the development of wider LCP Delta thought leadership reports and content Developing an industry network and relationships with senior figures in the sectorContributing to our marketing and external engagement activities to build profile and awareness of our hydrogen business Supporting the sales of our hydrogen research through external engagement and networking

What skills, experience and qualities are we looking for? 

Relevant experience working in the energy sector, working on consulting projects for an established energy or renewables consultancy Evidence of your ability to collect and analyse data and develop and run models required to produce high quality outputs A strong understanding of the European hydrogen economy and the wider energy sector, and a good knowledge of the UK and European national policies to support the transition to Net Zero, and an appreciation of global energy trends. Demonstrable ability to grow and maintain a strong professional network and support the development of new business Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage and prioritise a varied workload involving multiple deadlinesExcellent client management skills and relationship-building skills Thought leadership and strong analytical skills – an ability to simplify complexityThe ability to network and attend events where required Excellent communication and organisational skillsCollaborative and team-oriented working skills Initiative and creativity Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
