This is a hybrid role, you may be based at any NHS Blood & Transplant main centre, to be agreed at interview.You will be joining NHSBT at a particularly exciting time as we are embarking on a journey of change and expanding our current digital service portfolio. Main duties of the job

This is an exciting new senior role within the Digital Data and Technology Services Directorate at NHSBT with the remit to add real business value and contribute to the overall success of the Service Management functionYou will be responsible for all Enterprise Services within NHSBT looking after key technologies and platforms which underpin our critical systems..You will manage demand for the Enterprise Services within the portfolio and undertake effective stakeholder management at all levels including business service owners, product owners and external suppliersFor new service adoption this role will contribute towards Service Introduction activities to ensure they are fit for purpose and take ownership of Service Transition activities to ensure smooth take-on into business as usual.You will be responsible for the setup of effective Operating Level Agreements the Service Manager will work with internal stakeholders & suppliers to implement suitable SLAs and will report on key Digital Service metrics.Line Management is a key responsibility for the Service Manager to ensure a team of motivated, competent, capable Service Implementation Managers is in place, including provision of specialist training and consultancy for the wider ICT and business.Travel will be required with some time away from base which will involve working irregular hours and overnight stays when required, with prior notice.

Educated to Masters level OR equivalent experience Demonstrates commitment to own continued professional development Possession of a valid driving licence, allowing you to drive in the UK

Experience

Experience looking after Enterprise Services such as (Firewall, Hypervisors, NetScalers, Core Infrastructure, Cloud SAAS/ PAAS/IAAS, Telephony, Data Centres, Core Network, Antivirus, MDMs) Experience of managing full service management lifecycles, including design and transition preferably in a business facing IT role Knowledge of IT best practice as stipulated by the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL). Knowledge of general IT legislation such as Data Protection Act and Computer Misuse Act Experience of presenting complex and contentious information to a large technical and/or non-technical audience Experience of working with Information Technology using Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
