We are excited to be advertising forFull-time and Part-time practitioners in our Community Paediatric Neurodivergent pathways including our newly co-designed ASD/ADHD pathway. This exciting post is open to Specialist Nurses who will work alongside our existing team of experienced and supportive Paediatric Specialist Nurses, Principal Psychologist, Community Paediatricians, a highly experienced Admin Team, multidisciplinary healthcare professionals and partner agencies to provide dedicated support forchildren and young people accessing assessments for ASD/ADHD.

Main duties of the job

The role is varied and dynamic, with fantastic opportunities to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary colleagues and build your confidence and clinical skills in evidence-based assessment and intervention, in a healthcare setting.

This full time, permanent post will be based within the Community Paediatric Team. A key part of the role will involve leading and developing on from the formation of a new pathway for ASD/ADHD. As the role is developing it may involve training, service development, audit and service evaluation. You will work alongside the Service Manager for Community Paediatrics, you will offer individual assessment, formulation and brief intervention to a wide range of children and young people. You will link up with other services and offer effective signposting to enhance the children and young peoples' journey.

Job description

Job responsibilities

The post holder will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to undertake assessment and contribute to MDT and feedback to Children and young people and their families and management of children referred to the Community Paediatric Team with neurodevelopmental disorders concentrating on children referred with Social and Communication Difficulties within the Specialist ASD Assessment service.

The post holder will be instrumental in helping to shape the redesign and development of services to meet the needs of the children.

Extensive experience at Specialist Practitioner Level or equivalent. Extensive post registration experience of working with children with Social and Communication Difficulties and ASD. Teaching and group facilitation experience.
