Werecently ranked second in the West Midlands in a patient satisfaction survey.We provide 15minute appointments and our small size lends itself to improvedpatient continuity. Our administrative team are friendly and supportive topatients and clinicians which improves the quality of care provided. Our aim isto quickly adapt systems to evolve to the ever-changing landscape ofhealthcare, but fundamentally retaining a personal service to patients.
Wewill provide clinical and pastoral support, social opportunities, mentorshipand learning opportunities to help integration into our team. We are close tothe A5 and there is a private car park available to staff. Salary competitive,with an excellent work / life balance.
Main duties of the job
Provisionof General Medical Services, Enhanced Services, and work with the Primary CareNetwork, in accordance with the GMS and other practice contracts. Continuingprofessional development opportunities, and regular practice meetings.
About us
Knockinpresently has 2 GP Partners and 1 Salaried GP. With a steadily increasing listsize, we are looking to add to our GP clinical team. There is a lead nurse, onefurther registered nurse and one Health Care Assistant in post. As part of theShrewsbury Primary Care Network (rural) we are also supported by a socialprescriber, clinical pharmacist and a first point of contact physiotherapist aswell as a visiting paramedic service and Winter Illness Centre.
Weare a well-established team with a low turnover of staff. We welcomeprospective applicants in for an informal chat with the clinical team, adminteam, and a tour of the Practice.

Purpose:
Coreactivities and tasks you will be expected to undertake whilst you are workingat the practice include GP clinical appointments in the practice which will beface to face or else over the telephone, home visits, medical examinations andall other day to day clinical duties that a Doctor in the Practice undertakes.
Youare not required to be involved with other issues relating to the PracticeManagement responsibilities such as maintenance of the practice premises norany practice business concerns.
KeyResponsibilities:
AREAASSOCIATED TASK/DUTY
Generalmedical services
Providinghealthcare and medical services to all patients
Participatein extended access and Duty GP rota when scheduled.
Travelwithin the practice area to attend home visits when required.
Dealingwith paperwork, correspondence and test results associated with patient care.
Providingchoice, for patients who are being referred to Secondary Care
Contemporaneousnotes should be recorded to ensure accurate details of patient care and inaccordance with recording data for the Quality & Outcomes Framework.
Participatein and operate clinical governance methods and systems approved by thePartnership or Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin ICS
Dealingwith medication queries raised by patients, along with prescribing and onwardreferral to internal and external clinicians, where appropriate
Review,action, and complete tasks that are received by other members of the clinicaland/or administration team that are pertinent to the effective care ofpatients.
Follow-upresults, x-rays, and correspondence you have generated.
Workingrelationships
Liaisingwith other members of the Primary Care Health Team and other agencies asappropriate, to ensure good relationships are maintained at all times withpatients, colleagues, and other agencies
Non-NHSrelated work
Carryout work considered outside the NHS, such as medical examinations, certificatesand reports etc, where the income is retained by the employer. All feesreceived by you, by virtue of your position in the Practice, shall be paid tothe Practice.
Continuingprofessional development
Maintaininga high standard of care to patients by showing a commitment to continuingprofessional development and by participation in clinical meetings and Practicedevelopment days
Meetings
Youwill participate in monthly Clinical Meetings to review careprovidedto a range of patients.
