About the service

Tullideph Housing Support/Care at Home Services supports seven adults within their own individual tenancies. Each individual has their own complex needs including, but not limited to, Autistic Spectrum Disorder, hearing impairment, learning disabilities, diabetes and epilepsy. We see each person as the individual that they are, and endevour to provide services that support their interests, aspirations, health needs and wellbeing.

Individuals are supported in every element of their lives within their own homes and out in the community. The teams ensure they enable a wide range of activities, hobbies and interests via positive risk taking and a “can do” attitude. Promoting independence and a healthy, varied lifestyle is also a consistent goal for each individual with the service that we deliver.

The service that you would join is a large, busy and sometimes challenging service that offers a huge reward in terms of personal and professional development. This is a role where you can really make a difference.

Day to Day you will;

  • Promote independence, individuality and achievement of goals, with the voices of the people we support at the very centre of everything you do
  • Assist with various tasks such as personal care, housework, administering medication and meal preparation
  • Plan, attend and participate in meaningful activities both at home and in the community, including art, music, travel, yoga, voluntary work, swimming and sensory experiences
  • Liaise with your team and with others to review and ensure you are providing the best quality care
  • Maintaining accurate up to date daily recordings

At Sense Scotland we want the lives of the people that we support to be about much more than just their support needs it’s about enjoyment, fulfilment, relationships, wellbeing and meaningful experiences. We encourage team members to bring their own interests and skills into the workplace to share with the people who use our services.

Experience is not required, we care much more about your values, enthusiasm and willingness to learn - the skills you need we will train you in.

Shift times vary from 8am to 10pm start and finishing times across a variety of early, late, mid, nightshift and sleepover shifts. There will be both lone working and 2:1 shifts, with each shift providing support to only one individual meaning you get real opportunity to get to know the individuals you are supporting to provide consistency and build trusting relationships.

To succeed you will need to have;

  • Positive attitude and values that match our own
  • Good team-working skills
  • Clear communication skills
  • Ability to use your own initiative
  • Patience and understanding
  • Ability to prioritise and manage workload
  • Eager to learn and develop
