Main duties of the job

You will need to demonstrate empathy and compassionate leadership skills alongside excellent interpersonal skills with a strong ability to teach and inspire colleagues through active demonstration of clinical practice and leadership. At the same time be willing to learn and develop within this Band 6 role.

Current AHP with UK HCPC registration Podiatry professional qualification. Certification in local anaesthesia Evidence or Portfolio of Post Grad Continued Development

Education/Qualification

Podiatry professional degree qualification. Registration with Health Professions Council. Certificate in Local Anaesthesia. Evidence or Portfolio of post-grad Continued Development.

Knowledge and Experience

Essential

In-depth knowledge in the management of the diabetic foot and high risk feet. Knowledge and understanding of the NICE Diabetes clinical guidelines and NSF in Diabetes. Good inter-personal skills needed to liaise with colleagues and health care professionals. Organisational and planning skills to manage your own work time. Ability to deal professionally and objectively with distressing/uncomfortable situations, terminally ill patients, child abuse, providing guidance to team members where appropriate. Effective oral and written communication skills, report writing, presentation skills. The ability to maintain up to date clinical knowledge and skills Knowledge and application of clinical governance. Knowledge of diversity issues and ability to work with people from a wide variety of backgrounds. Experience of service delivery in acute and/or community settings.
