Job Description

What will you be doing?

We’re seeking a talented team member to join our Private Tax team in Salisbury, which is responsible for a delivering annual tax compliance work for a wide ranging portfolio of clients.

As an Assistant Manager you will be part of the delivery team that works on client compliance and client planning work as well as yearly routine checks and practice development. This is a fantastic opportunity for a newly qualified tax professional to build their career in a growing team.

As an Assistant Manger, your responsibilities will include among others

Responsible for a portfolio of clients which may including sole traders, partners, HNWIs, non UK domiciliaries, non UK residents, partnerships and trusts Ensuring administration of the portfolio is completed including all aspects of compliance, accounts, tax returns and tax computations Identifying possible planning possibilities Preparing reports for clients Attendance at client meetings Answering client ad-hoc questions and enquiries in respect of their personal tax affairs

Qualifications

Key Competencies:

Planning and Organising  - Must be able to plan workload in order to prioritise work to meet conflicting deadlines and cope with pressure. Written and Oral communication Good written communication skills are necessary to draft correspondence with clients and HMRC to explain technical issues in an easily understandable have good inter-personal skills to be able to liaise with clients and other staff members. Customer Focus  - Meeting deadlines and responding to client needs. Team work  - Provide link in chain to supervise staff members below and support Directors above. Maintain Technical Expertise

Education and Qualifications:

ACA/ CTA or equivalent qualification.

Experience and Skills:

Experience gained within a professional services firm. Good knowledge of personal tax compliance and ideally some exposure to planning/advisory work.
