As our Technical Systems Manager, you will monitor the relevant areas of regulation, testing methods and testing standards to support a strategy that ensures we are delivering compliant products & systems in the most effective way, whilst driving innovation within our product range.

What you’ll be doing…

  • Be the lead person that develops and delivers fire test programs including;
    • Selection of suitable test bodies.
    • Seeking quotes and agreeing costs & timescales for delivery.
    • Commission the creation of detailed test drawings.
    • Arrange test materials and export/import where required.
    • Assemble resource and supervise the building of test specimens.
    • Review of test data and reports as and when needed.
    • Dissemination of test results, outcomes to the business.
    • Procure and deliver where required classification reports, technical assessments and related certification.
  • Product testing on non-fire applications such as acoustics, flat roof loading and fixing pull-through testing.
  • Where specific certification or 3rd party documentation is required, the Systems Manager will take responsibility and be accountable for the design and delivery of all aspects.
  • Support the Technical Development Manager in the delivery of field based Real Performance projects.
  • Support the delivery of projects and use technical and commercial understanding to contribute to the development of the KINE portfolio including insulation applications, systems and solutions.
  • Develop strong partnerships with product management to provide technical input into relevant projects, market messaging and collateral.
  • Identify new or enhanced products or system opportunities.
  • Work with other team members, departments, and the plants to support the product development process and follow-up product certification to ensure product compliance.
  • Support the evolution of product development with respect to new manufacturing sites.

If you have any of the following – this would be an added advantage:

  • Hold a relevant degree ideally within the construction field with 5 years of construction work experience.
  • Have a good knowledge of construction types & construction details.
  • Have a basic knowledge of all relevant Building Regulations and product and application standards.
  • Be able to interpret construction descriptions, sketches and drawings.
  • Have a ‘hands on’ approach and direct experience of product testing ideally within the construction industry with relation to fire.
  • Comprehensive IT skill set.
  • Good reporting and data interpretation skills.
  • Good communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective management and prioritization of personal workload.
