Business Support Officer L1

There is currently a permanent full time (36 hours) Business Support Officer L1 vacancy being advertised.The role is responsible for undertaking administrative duties, working in a team under the supervision of the Business Support Team Manager.

The full time vacancy provides Business Support to the Youth Resilience Services. These services operate across the Kingston and Richmond Boroughs and staff are based in Guildhall 1 (Kingston) and satellite sites in (Richmond). The main base for this post will be Guildhall 2, but you may be asked on occasion to work from one of our other offices.

Staff are currently being asked to work two office based days and three days working from home, but this may be varied, depending on Service need and provision. You will be working closely with other Business Support Officers as part of a team, so it will be important for you to form strong working relationships to ensure that you are able to meet the statutory
deadlines of the service.

About the role

The Services based in the Youth Resilience Service area are: Youth Justice Service, Health and Wellbeing Team, Youth Services (including DofE), Participation, Adolescent Safeguarding Team.

There will be some Service specific work using the bespoke databases.
Main responsibilities for the role will include;

Managing and responding to all requests received in the Business Support inbox and telephone calls. Providing administrative support to meetings.  Supporting the team with the organisation of workshops/events, adverts and setting up virtual meetings. Supporting with I.T. set up and the creation of resources as required. Receipt and processing of Youth Justice Service referrals, and court outcomes, managing service wide inboxes, queries regarding case management systems.

The role will require an individual to have strong admin and digital experience to undertake a range of these functions to ensure that they are providing excellent support to those in the directorate and to our children, young people and their families.
