To make informed decisions, involving patients to ensure agreed clinical standards and targets are met. To assist in the undertaking of initial assessment and triage and application of prescribed treatments. To manage flow into the departments from outside organisations such as 111 to ensure throughput is streamlined and minimised for patients To act as a clinical role model and be able to provide care to the sickest patients within the Department. ensure that patients are seen and treated in a timely manner, and in accordance with local and government targetsProvides and receives complex, sensitive or contentious information, where persuasive, motivational, negotiating, training, empathic or reassurance skills are required. This may be because agreement or co-ordination is required or because there are barriers to understanding.

Diploma or Degree in Adult or Paediatric Nursing NMC/HCPC Registration
Experience

Minimum of 3-4 years post registration experience Evidence of shift management. Minimum of 2 years experience in Emergency Care Experience of leading, motivating and supporting a team. Experience of providing training and education. Experience of managing resources. Experience of delegating workload and monitoring progress Experience of monitoring clinical practice.
