Job summary

We are looking for enthusiastic pharmacists to join our growing bank pharmacy team for working anything up to hrs a week. Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust operates over two sites at Warrington and Halton

Main duties of the job include providing a clinical pharmacist service to nominated wards within Warrington and Halton Teaching hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (WHH). This will require working across a range of specialities including Critical care, Emergency care, medical and surgical wards, undertaking medication histories and reviewing medication to optimise patient care as well as facilitating the processing of discharge prescriptions .

Job description

Job responsibilities

Responsible for the management and development of the directorate pharmacy service to achieve a high standard of efficiency and effectiveness. Responsible for the provision of highly specialist pharmaceutical service to the directorate areas. Advise on strategies to ensure cost-effective use of resources. Provide pharmaceutical expertise to any multidisciplinary working groups considering protocols, policies and guidelines in the specialist area. Produces protocols, policies and guidelines on designated pharmaceutical practice relating to the directorate Service if required. Deals with high level pharmaceutical queries and provides advice to medical and nursing staff from the directorate areas including senior medical staff.
