Ground ControlsProfessional Services department has a fantastic opportunity for aselfmotivated and commercially minded Senior orPrincipal Ecologist for our inhouse EcologyConsultancy.
Were looking for a someone atSenior level or above who wants to expand their current skill setand project management skills in this role. KeyResponsibilities:
- ProjectManagement of UK Habitat Classification Surveys (licenced)protected species surveys;
- Building tenders andcreating complex fee quotations atspeed;
- Producing complex technical reports (PEAreports BNG reports protected species reports Habitat ManagementPlans BREEAM reports HRAs and EcIAs);
- Managingmedium to large sized projects with ability to track financialprogress;
- Line management of juniorecologists
- Logistical and legislative problemsolving
Fully flexibleworking
This role is a fullyremote position working from home and in the field in your localarea. You have the flexibility of managing your own time withouthaving to visit a officelocation.
Are You Right For ThisRole
We welcome applications fromSenior Ecologists or existing Principals who are looking for achange. You must have full membership the Chartered Institute ofEcology & Environmental Management MCIEEM a relevantbachelors degree (or higher) and at least one protected specieslicence. A Personal Track Safety accreditation would be abonus.
In addition all of the points below willbe a massive bonus
- Have a desire forline management
- Prioritise workloads andcomplete tasks in a timely manner;
- Have highattention to detail especially in technicalreporting;
- A strength UK wildlife legislationand understand how to apply it correctly;
- Haveclear and consistent communication skills;
- Bepersonable and a team player even on tough days;and
- Hold a full UK drivinglicense
