Role Description:

West Nottinghamshire College is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Sports Teacher. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking team within the Directorate of Health, Education & Service Industries. You will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing apprentices engaging and high-quality learning experiences in Sports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching & Assessment: Design and deliver lessons that cater to the diverse needs of learners, ensuring all students receive a comprehensive education in Sports.
  • Practical Instruction: Liaise with learners and industry partners to plan and execute practical learning days, ensuring safety and educational value.
  • Student Support: Monitor and assess learner progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
  • Continuous Improvement: Engage in professional development to stay current with industry standards and educational best practices.
  • Compliance: Adhere to health and safety regulations and safeguarding requirements, promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Enrichment Activities: Participate in the college's enrichment programs and support the planning of educational trips and visits.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Teaching qualification (DTLLs, PGCE, or equivalent) Level 4 – desirable
  • Experience in delivering high-quality learning experiences and managing a diverse range of learners.

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all learners.
