High Level Teaching Assistant

Start Date  - September 2024

Hours - Ideally full time (08.30 - 15.30). Part time may be considered for the right person/job share.

Protocol Education are working alongside a Wiltshire based secondary school to appoint a positive and highly motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant. The school are ideally looking for someone who can:

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will work within a learning framework set by the SENDCO and Head Teacher to provide learning support for the educational and personal needs of pupils, including whole classes which ensures that they have equality of access to opportunities to learn and develop. This is a varied role that will require you to work on a 1-1, small group and whole class level, you will both support class teachers in the general delivery of classes, but also lead on groups/classes yourself either in their absence, or specific learning areas you will be required to lead.

Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, or another relevant role within education would be preferred, along with experience working with children and young people. A good understanding of the UK Curriculum, or having a specilist subject, would also be a big help.

This is also a role where you need to have the right personality, attitude and positivity. Good communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships is essential.
