Office Attendance  - Our roles are hybrid, however you shouldbe able to travel to our Newcastle, Edinburgh or Glasgow office at least 1 day per week for this position

We’re looking for a Senior Test Engineer to join our Insurance, Money and Services team.

You’ll have opportunity to work at the intersection of insurance and technology, offering opportunities to work on innovative projects that improves the insurance experience for our customers You'll have the opportunity to work hands-on to provide assurance of our products, whilst taking a lead in shaping how the team goes about their day-to-day activities You'll be working as part of an Agile team, closely collaborating with developers, analysts and SMEs to maximise the quality of Tesco Bank’s products We uses an array of testing technologies and tools and have a significant focus on evolving our automation capabilities to improve efficiency, accuracy and test coverage. We seek to develop employees through various initiatives aimed at fostering growth, learning and career advancement.

What you’ll be doing

Delivery of risk-based test approaches:Defining test coverage based on the risks to our customers. Working proficiently in Agile testing:Understanding of agile methodologies and how testing fits into agile delivery Implementation and maintenance of automation test suites to provide greater efficiency in what we do Achieving compliance with organisational policies and procedures, and relevant regulatory codes.

We need you to have

Experience of working in collaborative agile development environments with strong stakeholder management and influencing skills. Experienced in building and maintaining test automation and CI/CD. Tools and Languages: Java, Selenium, SOAP/Rest, Cucumber, appium Experience in retail banking or Insurance services

And if you have any of these, even better

Experience coaching junior staff. Experience of Mobile testing (IOS and/or Android) Understanding of Behaviour Driven Development. Data Testing in financial services environment. We are looking for you to bring skills and experience that will have a demonstrable impact on how we deliver testing within our feature teams.  Collaborate with our Products Owners, Architects, and Engineers to shape the quality of our products and platforms. You help drive up the quality for our customers through implementing our best practices and standards. We operate a wide variety of products and technologies, you are not required to be an expert in all of these, but you will be required to get comfortable with new products and technologies.
