Job summary

We are looking for a dedicated Procurement Supervisor to join the team at Healthshare Clinic Norwich. The ideal candidate will be passionate in delivering a great service and finding the best value products to ensure spending stays on track and within budget. The post holder will require understanding of clinical governance including National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness and the Good Stock Management guide.

Main duties of the job

Order and maintain stock toenable clinical activity to continue smoothly, with a target of eliminatingwaste and over ordering. Provide support to the operational and clinical team by gathering and presentingmeaningful data, reports and analysis of spendand contract data. Holdproductive meetings with key team members to ensure all consumables andequipment arrive in a timely manner. Suggesting innovativesolutions to current areas of development and existing processes. Ensuringstock rotation and expired products are correctly disposed and logged. Adhering to the Medication Management policyand stock control. Control of assetregister and procurement of new equipment for clinic.

Job responsibilities

The Stock Control Leadwill workclosely with a range of people from Operational and Clinical teams to suppliersand other Healthshare Sites. Duties include:

Confirm stock levels are adequate for nexttwo weeks of clinical activity. Liaise with Clinical Diagnostics ServiceManager, Theatre Manager, Outpatients Manager and Head of Operations each weekand ascertain all consumables for the clinic are ordered. Stock Control of consumables current linesand adding new lines to spreadsheet including costings, product codes etc. Stock Control of medicines current lines andadding new lines to spreadsheet including costings, product codes etc. Ensuring area is in line withNational Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness Stock check 6 monthly, highlighting expirydates, unused products, damaged stock, and processing these accordingly. Providing meaningful data of consumablesused, costs, savings etc for each service line in a monthly review presented tothe senior leadership team. Annual asset register audit. Ensuring all new equipment is asset taggedand logged appropriately. Involved with invoicing queries withManagement team and finance. Explore cost options for acquiring newequipment, presenting findings to Executive Director. Ensuring activities are cost effective Liaising with other sites (Riverside Clinic)for stock transfers or combining large orders. Taking responsibility forproblem investigation and resolution. Attending daily briefingsand ensure effective communications with the Operations Team Any other task inline with role as directedby line manager. Person Specification
