Experienced Cover Supervisors Wanted Join Teaching Personnel for Flexible Work Across East Lancashire

About the Role:

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

  • Supervise classes during the short-term absence of teachers, delivering pre-prepared lessons across a variety of subjects.
  • Ensure students remain on task, maintaining a productive learning environment.
  • Provide classroom management, ensuring behaviour is in line with school policies.
  • Offer guidance and support to students, ensuring their well-being and progress in the classroom.

This role is perfect for those who have experience in education or a similar setting and are passionate about working with young people. You will have the opportunity to work flexibly across different schools, gaining experience in diverse educational settings.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor or in a similar educational support role (e.g., teaching assistant, tutor, sports coach).
  • Excellent classroom management and the ability to maintain a calm and focused learning environment.
  • A confident communicator, able to engage and motivate students.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and reliability, with a positive and proactive attitude.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK and willing to undergo a DBS check (or have one on the Update Service).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
