Senior Design Manager

We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Design Manager to join our North East business in a role that will initially be aligned to a major project in the area.
Location: Morpeth, Newcastle
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
What will you be responsible for?
As Senior Design Manager you will take on a key role as part of the regional design team working at tender and delivery phase of projects. Reporting to the Head of Design you will be responsible for the management and delivery of design information in accordance with the agreed design programme and deliverable schedule, ensuring that our appointed design consultants carry out their duties in line with their appointment, interrogating returns to ensure compliance with standards and brief.
Your day to day will include:
- The production of design programmes, design scopes, design responsibility matrices, appointments, schedules.
- Record progress and carry out upline reporting,
- Attending/chair necessary meetings and workshops with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensuring that the design is compliant to relevant legislation and technical requirements.
What are we looking for?
This role of Design Manager is great for you if you have:
- Demonstrable experience in a senior design role within a main contractor environment
- Experience working on major build projects of high value
- Experience of working on MOJ projects (Desirable)
- Strong understanding of DFMA construction methodology (Desirable)
- Experience of BIM level 2 projects, including COBie data, LoDM.
