Senior Auditor

Our client in Morpeth is looking for a Senior auditor to join their team on a temp contract.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Auditor to support our team for a fixed period of time in delivering excellent assurance services.We are searching for a skilled, confident and focused individual who will bring enthusiasm to the role, making a real difference to us and our services.

You will operate within the Internal Audit and Risk Management Team, although you will be required to undertake your role independently and innovatively, reflecting the senior nature of the role.

We expect you to be professionally qualified/part qualified with either the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors, or one of the CCAB institutes. You will have experience of delivering assurance services in the public sector, preferably in a local government environment. A good understanding of current audit best practice is essential, and you will have experience at a supervisory level and you should relish a varied workload.

You will have experience of performing complex audit work to a high standard, have excellent communication skills, both spoken and written, with well-developed advocacy and negotiation skills.

**Salary**: £20.98 per hour

Schedule:

- Flexitime
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Morpeth, Northumberland: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Similar: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- CIIA or CCAB ( qualified or part qualified) (preferred)
