Job summary

Are you passionate about providing an excellent service to patients?

The Vascular Science department is a patient facing ultrasound service. The team comprises of 3 Vascular Associates and 10 Clinical Vascular Scientists. The Vascular Science Associate role provides clinical support and administrative/reception needs for the department, contributing to the effective and safe running of the Vascular Science service.

Main duties of the job

This is blended administrative and patient facing post. It will involve coordinating patient appointments, processing referrals and dealing with service user queries. It will also include preparing patients for ultrasound examinations and maintaining patient flow throughout the department.

Attention to detail is critical as are basic skills in Microsoft Office. You will have good communication skills and be able to work well as part of a team. You will be confident in your ability to prioritise and manage your time effectively so that you can coordinate multiple tasks without needing continual supervision. Admin experience is desirable, but not essential, and we do not expect you to have prior knowledge of vascular ultrasound as we will provide training.
