About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a People Partner to join our team based in Hemel Hempstead.

Reporting to the Head of Reward, Policy & Payroll, you will be responsible for identifying and managing all people activity for our Hemel Team. This will involve working closely, partnering with leaders from across all our support functions including IT, Finance, Marketing and our Contact Centre to collate an accurate People Plan for both reactive and proactive people activity.

You will then work closely with specialists within the People Team to ensure any actions or activity is managed effectively. This will involve working with Resourcing, L&D, Internal Comms and Payroll & Reward to ensure we have future sight of any key requirements and can work effectively to support the team.

You will also manage any Hemel based case work which is varied in topic and complexity, supporting and coaching leaders through this and acting as a trusted advisor to team.

As a true role model for the team, you will lead a range of people activities that reflect our values and business objectives, encouraging a fantastic culture with a focus on continuous development and making a difference to our guests. As the subject matter expert, you will also support in upskilling and training the team in a range of core HR subjects. With true business partnering we know we can drive brilliant team engagement and in turn business performance for our amazing team, creating a great place to work in our wonderful, brilliant new bespoke offices (which even has a DJ deck). Whilst we do work in a hybrid manner, due to the nature of this role, you will need to be in the office for a good portion of the week to ensure you're accessible to team.
About You
This would be a fantastic opportunity for an existing Senior People Advisor looking for their next step, or for an experienced People Partner who is looking for a new challenge.

You should be experienced in operating in a complex organisation with different functions and should have excellent practical knowledge of employment law and how to effectively apply HR policy.

Coaching and developing our team is really important to us, so experience in working closely with team of all levels through sometimes challenging situations is essential.

You should have an approachable and engaging style and be comfortable operating within an agile business where things can change quickly.

Butlin's has recently become independently owned and this presents a unique chance to build and execute a new people plan that is truly aligned to our exciting plans for the future. You should therefore also be confident to develop new ways of working and have experience in supporting team through a change journey.

Collaboration skills are also essential as you will work closely with specialists within the People Team to ensure any initiatives or suggestions from the Hemel team are discussed and actioned where required. You will also work very closely with our Office Support Partner to create a great office environment for the team.

Whilst a CIPD qualification is advantageous, we are much more interested in your practical experience and mindset.
