Target Group are a leading business services provider in lending, investments and insurance, creating value for our clients through digital customer journey, outsourcing and operational transformation.

We are looking for a qualified Financial Accountant to join us for a 6 month FTC. This is a Hybrid position, working 2 days per week in our Cardiff or Newport offices and 3 days from home.

Joining our core Finance Team, as Financial Accountant you’ll play a key role in ensuring that all statutory, regulatory and group reporting is produced to a high standard.

You’ll work closely with the wider finance team, as well as key stakeholders across the business.

Some of the main responsibilities include:

Analyse and investigate aged account balances Balance sheet control reconciliations Bank and cash reconciliations, and associated process improvements Process documentation and improvement Document and improve processes around control account reconciliations

You'll also support the wider team with the following activities

regulatory reporting (FCA) submissions as required monthly analytical review of the business and current Balance sheet status monthly group accounting returns FCA quarterly returns as required VAT returns as required preparation of financial statements as required

Part or fully qualified as an accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) At least 3 years’ experience in a finance role Experience in: Financial accounting Financial Control Account reconciliations Financial Services and Outsourcing industries (desirable)
