The role:

 

As a key member of the Chief Strategy Office, the Head of International Business Development will seek out new opportunities in the International Airport management space – focusing primarily on Operations & Maintenance (O&M) arrangements, while also identifying and building a pipeline for potential large concession / PPP agreements (M&A activity). Reporting into the International Development Director, the role will be key to executing a cohesive global growth strategy that will help shape the future of MAG’s international business, over the full lifecycle of pipeline engagement – from identification of M&A and Venture opportunities through to their successful execution.

 

You will identify, develop and manage deal pipelines by conducting industry research and maintaining active relationships with key external stakeholders in this space. You will be implementing target engagement plans along with supporting the deal process, building commercial models, and developing valuation / deal structures.

 

You:

 

To be successful in this role, you will need solid knowledge of external trends and best practice in the aviation M&A space, along with proven experience of developing business cases with a good working understanding of valuation modelling. You will understand, be experienced with, and be comfortable working in an international environment, including in less developed regions. You will have sound business acumen and judgement in areas of risk and uncertainty, bringing a gravitas and credibility to MAG’s aspirations in this international space. M&A strategy and transaction advisory experience is favoured, preferably in the travel sector, and you will have excellent communication skills – with experience of communication up to and including Executive Committees (ExCo) or similar.
