In role you will lead, and control delivery of a coherent set of projects and sub-programme outputs aligned to the achievement of our business plan outcomes. You will be expected to manage substantial contracts, or multiple smaller contracts at any stage in the programme lifecycle. Ultimately, we want to see creativity being used to attain new levels of delivery performance.

We are looking for you to be delivering unrivalled customer experience to both internal and external customers, demonstrating effective measurement, monitoring, and reporting. You will also be managing stakeholder relationships and communication, ensuring stakeholders are well-informed and aligned to the programme.

You will ensure your team and supply partner activities align to company quality standards, satisfy relevant legislative and regulatory requirements, and are carried out safely to ensure everyone goes home safe every day. We are also looking for you to be ensuring that the team is sufficiently resourced and are fully trained and able to deliver effective and safe design and construction, along with application of Construction Design Management Regulations.

About you

The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability and passion to create and deliver a high performing Capital Delivery team, creating an environment where people can thrive and grow.

Through influence and integrity, you will build sustainable collaborative relationships across the business and supply chain enabling us to face up to the most difficult situations in a respectful and impactful way.

You will be able to demonstrate positive behaviours & attitudes and a positive learning approach, which will help us move capital delivery forward in achieving high levels of professional standards and new levels of performance.

You will be able to evidence the ability to apply critical thinking and complex problem solving identifying creative solutions using all our resources. Through all of this you and your team will be able deliver predictable, successful, business and project outcomes.

Here at Northumbrian Water/Essex & Suffolk Water, we embrace and value Diversity, Inclusion and Equity which means bringing your full self to work.
