PositionOverview

  • Oversees dayto day operations of the department including repairs alterationand installation of work.
  • Lead the Maintenancefunction providing both a reactive and proactive multiskilledservice on all operational equipment and hotelsinfrastructure.

  • Increase thesite operational effectiveness improve on project delivery reduceequipment failure room downtime
  • Manage andimplement improvement plans driving Key Performance Indicators(KPIs) ensuring that Health Safety and Environmental requirementsare adhered to.
  • Manage the teams on technicalbest practice and establish standard policies and procedures whilstleading the department and mentoring directreports
  • Identification of potential lifecycledeficiencies produce capital budgets to match lifecycleexpectancies
  • Implement and manage continuousimprovement of maintenance services by highlighting recommendingchanges wherenecessary.

Mainresponsibilities

  • Responsiblefor the implementation of best practice maintenance vision strategypolicies processes and procedures to aid and improve operationalperformance  in particular the sustainable maintenance andthe reduction of energy consumptionstrategy
  • Contribute to new business initiativesand projects and review and communicate the impact on maintenanceactivities
  • Cover shifts as required includingduty manager
  • Set and implement preventativemaintenance programmes thus ensuring quality of the FF&Eand plant equipment
  • Control invoices andexternal providers costs
  • Work with GMs toelaborate maintenance budget and ensure compliance of theirhotel
  • Complete monthly energy reports andrecord 

COMPLIANCE

  • Ensurecompliance with health safety and environmental policies andprocedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff andguests
  • Inspect works to ensure compliance withrequired standards and performance targets and take correctiveaction under direction of line management asappropriate
  • Conduct risk assessments ofprocesses and tasks in the hotels under theirresponsibilities

PROJECTMANAGEMENT

  • Planningmanaging and coordinating projects and maintenance works includingbudgets
  • Produce information analysis andreports to ensure line management are informed of project/workprogress problems and agreedresolutions
  • Delivery small scale projects(P&L) including lifecycle works ensuring performancequality levels are met throughout risks to delivery are treated ina timelymanner 

RECRUITMENT&PERSONNELL

  • Recruitsupervise and train maintenance teammembers
  • Manage coach and develop a highperforming and autonomous maintenanceteam
  • Provide technical expertise and support tothe teams
  • Allocate the appropriate HumanResources in the cluster
  • Set departmentobjectives/KPIs and review and assess ongoing performance of directreports
  • Report on achievement of targets andidentify any actions required
  • Ensure thedelivery of the People Strategy within area ofaccountability
  • Complete departmentalperformancereviews

 


Qualifications:

Education /Professional experience

FormalQualification in Mechanical HVAC or Electrical or operationalexperience  

Good written and verbalcommunication skills (English)

Advanced knowledgeof Microsoft tools & outlook

3 yearsmanagement experience

H&Strained

Ability to read & write riskassessments

Energymanagement

Budget planning CAPX & OPEXcost controls

Proven experience of projectmanagement

Flexibility to travel and attendregional & UK meetings

Administrationskills
