We are currently hiring a PMO Analyst. This is a new and exciting role which will help shape the way we work globally across Tunstall. This role offers hybrid working and can be based at our Manchester offices or our Head Office in Yorkshire (DN14 0HR).
What will you be doing in this role?
The PMO Analyst will work with Project Managers and other key stakeholders to ensure Progress reports are produced, quality checked, collated and issued in advance of the Fortnightly Project Progress review sessions.
The Ideal candidate:
You will have proven experience of working in a PMO function and dealing with various stakeholders to ensure the smooth running of projects/programmes along with highlighting risks/challenges
Required skills and experience
- Demonstrable experience as a PMO Analyst both within a stable PMO environment and within a maturing PMO environment.
- Strong analytical skills and portfolio delivery knowledge to undertake pro-active assessment of the projects in order to identify forward looking issues requiring early escalation and resolution.
- Proven ability to build strong and credible working relationships at all levels and across all functions and Regions.
- Expertise in the design, development and embedding of streamlined Change Delivery processes integrated with SAFe and within a regulated industry.
- Mature interpersonal skills to build effective working relationships between PMO and Project/Programme Managers.
- Ability to operate the right balance between challenge and support with stakeholders and Project/Programme Managers.
- Strong change delivery leadership capability, operating collaboratively with others whilst driving performance at pace.
- Knowledgeable and experienced in the use of applications and packages to support and enable effective and efficient PMO activities.
- Good knowledge of Project Management and SAFe processes tools and best practice.
- Well organised and with good administration skills.
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and to work under pressure.
Required competencies
- Demonstrable PMO competency.
- Facilitation, collaboration and communication skills across all levels.
- Analytical skills.
- Very detail oriented with a good ability to spot forward looking trends and identify opportunities for early interventions in order to improve overall delivery planning and implementation.
- High degree of competence in the use of applications and packages to support and enable effective and efficient PMO activities including but not limited to Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
- Advanced knowledge of Project Management and SAFe processes tools and best practice.
- Adaptive and responsive to changing needs, demands and priorities.
- Comfortable representing the PMO Manager in any forum when required to do so.

Change Delivery Performance
- Working with Project Managers and other key stakeholders to ensure Progress reports are produced, quality checked, collated and issued in advance of the Fortnightly Project Progress review sessions.
- Work with Project & Programme Managers and other key change related stakeholders to ensure delivery plans and associated milestones are realistic and complete and for ensuring RAID Log items are complete, actively managed and regularly updated.
Portfolio Resource Management
- This role is also responsible for the production and maintenance of a Portfolio resource capacity model by role and by function, reflecting how resources are allocated to change activities and for ensuring the Tick timesheet submissions align with the resource profile and that Tick timesheet codes are administered according to the agreed process.
Portfolio Management artifacts
- Working with the Head of PMO, ensure that the overall Portfolio Plan is constantly updated to reflect the most up to date position on delivery milestones and that the updated Portfolio Plan is issue on a regular and timely basis.
Change Delivery Process & Governance
- Support the Head of PMO and Group Change Director in the design, development and roll out of an end-to-end Change Delivery process, integrated with SAFe and incorporating a streamlined NPI process.
Continuous Improvement
- Ensure a Lessons Learnt document is produced and reviewed at the end of each project and programme and maintain a prioritised list of improvements.
