Physical Education Teacher

Location: Sheffield 

Salary Range: £115 -£250 per day (depending on experience)

Start: September 2024

Contract type: Full-Time

This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 and help them discover the joys of sport and physical activity.

Job Summary:

This role involves teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, promoting physical fitness, teamwork, and a healthy lifestyle. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in physical education, excellent communication skills, and a passion for inspiring students to achieve their personal best. This temporary position starts in September 2024 and offers a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact on student’s lives through sports and physical activity. Job Responsibilities of a Physical Education Teacher:

As a Physical Education Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality PE lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.
  • Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and a love for physical activity.
  • Develop innovative and inclusive lesson plans that cater to all abilities.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve.
  • Organize and oversee extracurricular sports activities and events.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the PE curriculum and school spirit.

Qualifications of a Physical Education Teacher:

  • Hold a relevant teaching qualification (QTS, QLTS, PGCE, or equivalent).
  • Have a strong background in physical education and sports.
  • Demonstrate effective classroom management and communication skills.
  • Show enthusiasm for teaching and a commitment to student development.
  • Be able to motivate and inspire students to achieve their personal best.
  • Must have DBS (updated service) to safeguard the learners' issues.
  • Experienced candidates in the relevant field will be preferred.
