About the Role:As a Teaching Assistant in a secondary school setting, you will play a key role in supporting students with their learning, ensuring they stay engaged and make progress across the curriculum. Working closely with the classroom teacher, you will provide one-on-one and small group assistance, helping students to achieve their academic goals. Responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant (Secondary):
  • Provide direct support to students to help them achieve academic success.
  • Assist in delivering tailored learning programmes that meet students’ individual needs.
  • Support classroom management by keeping students engaged and focused on tasks.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers.
  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff to implement effective interventions.
  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, particularly with secondary aged students, is essential.
  • A strong passion for working with secondary-aged students and helping them succeed.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff.
  • An understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
  • An up-to-date CV and an enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).
