The Manager - Global ESG & Reporting, is a strategic thinker, with a keen eye for detail and strong business acumen. Working with the Strategic Projects Director, the role holder shapes/coordinates Vitalograph's ESG roadmap and drives its successful execution through cross-functional partnership and helping external stakeholders understand our priorities and progress. 

 

The role holder will centralise Vitalograph ESG disclosures to support all external reporting, ratings and rankings, and stakeholder engagements. The role holder will propose and manage carbon reduction activities towards targets. They will collate environmental, social and governance reporting data, propose and manage carbon reduction activities toward targets and complete Vitalograph's annual sustainability disclosures using various reporting platforms as required. Understanding and developing plans in response to customers' expectations is a crucial element of the role. 

 

You will have the potential to provide cover for the Strategic Projects Director. This role will be the ESG lead for Vitalograph including its global entities and activities in particular UK, Ireland, USA, and Germany. The role holder will have a deep knowledge and understanding of ESG regulations and legislation in Vitalograph's main jurisdictions and ensure that policies and processes reflect current requirements.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

        Be the ESG knowledge and expertise lead for Vitalograph.

        Centralise and contextualise the company's ESG roadmap, translating it into project plans that advance initiatives and drive accountability for results.

       Regularly coordinate and communicate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to lead well-planned, cross-functional initiatives that engage various teams, including senior management and cross functional leads including strategic projects, sustainability, regulatory affairs, manufacturing operations, R&D, supply chain, facilities, export logistics, accounts, and human resources.

        Advisor and implementation lead for sustainable materials management practices and product lifecycle analysis across Vitalograph.   

        Lead end-to-end development of annual ESG Report and actively engage on other business publications, regulatory filings and ESG content and communications.

        Understanding and monitoring ESG-related regulations and legislation in applicable jurisdictions, identifying and reporting to senior managers how these apply to Vitalograph.

        Ensuring that Vitalograph policies and processes align with regulatory requirements including gap analysis when new or updated rules are published.

        Reporting of ESG performance metrics to meet both internal and external requirements including independent CSRD reporting platforms and standards as required.

        Identifying and overseeing implementation of reduction targets and actions (as agreed with senior management).

        Define, manage and report on approved projects to achieve ESG targets.

        Ensure that ESG requirements and expectations of key customers are met, including supporting completion of tender and requirements information

        Collaborate cross-functionally to create Vitalograph's annual sustainability disclosure.

        Work with the learning and development manager to design and develop programmes of relevant ESG educational content for all employees. 

        Be an internal advocate and voice for ESG at Vitalograph and working with ESG champions at each site to support local initiatives. 

        Any reasonable additional duties that may be assigned by the Strategic Projects Director.


KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

        Adaptable leader and seasoned project manager with minimum 5 years of progressive experience in ESG or sustainability.

        Strong ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders regardless of seniority - cross functional working and working effectively with senior leaders is essential.

        Outstanding written communication skills with minimum 5 years leading complex reporting projects.

        Exceptional attention to detail, a sense of urgency, and strong organisational management skills to deliver high quality deliverables in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.

        Motivated by change management and experienced in distilling large amounts of information to shape recommendations that support strategic decision making

        Proven ability to interpret the broader ESG landscape to inform strategy while possessing the detail and process orientation to drive data integrity, consistency, and governance.  

        Excellent project management skills.

        Possesses understanding of global ESG regulatory landscape, frameworks, and ratings

        Experience integrating and driving adoption of new technology solutions preferred

        Self-aware with an ability to learn quickly and a desire for continuous improvement.

        A starter-finisher with a creative-thinking, questioning attitude.

        Must be highly motivated and have a strong desire to succeed.

 

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

        A science or engineering degree in a relevant or related field or relevant corporate sustainability post graduate certification.
