Experience
Essential

Applicants who are Nationals from another European country or elsewhere overseas would have to show equivalence to the 5 years training period in the National Health Service required. EPLS or APLS certification Training to level 3 safeguarding and experience of safeguarding at Specialist Registrar or Consultant level.

Demonstrable knowledge and commitment to a career in paediatrics Some experience in paediatric renal medicine

Good communicator. Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team. Enthusiasm for service development and teaching.

Experience of formal and on-the-job clinical teaching Enthusiasm to teach clinical skills

Desirable

Commitment to under/postgraduate and multidisciplinary teaching & training Recognised postgraduate course in teaching/training (T5 or similar) Postgraduate qualification in teaching (PGCert or similar)

Able to deliver high quality paediatric care Knowledge and experience of clinical audit Logical, analytical, and self-critical approach to practice

Understanding of research techniques and design Evidence-based medicine

Flexible outlook on working hours Must live within a 15-mile radius of the base Trust, or 30 minutes travelling time when on call (if part of a gastro service on-call)
