Main duties of the job

This exciting role will support our Social Care OT service by triaging and processing incoming referrals to ensure they meet the criteria and are suitable for our service. There will be an element of focussed initial assessment over the phone and provision of basic equipment where appropriate.

Applicants would benefit from previous Social Care or Community Occupational Therapy experience.

Our Occupational Therapy Service works with Adults with long term physical disabilities and social care needs across South Staffordshire. We visit people within their own home environment, provide equipment and minor adaptations to make their home environment accessible and maintain their independence.

Occupational Therapy provides appropriate provision of means to promote people's independence in line with Care Act 2014 outcomes.

Knowledge and experience of electronic case record keeping would also be beneficial.
