The National Autistic Society is the UK’s leading charity for autistic people. Since 1962, we’ve been transforming lives, changing attitudes and helping to create a society that works for autistic adults and children.

We transform lives by providing support, guidance and practical advice for the 700,000 autistic adults and children in the UK, as well as their three million family members and carers. Who we are looking for:

We are looking for dedicated SEN Teachers - Primary & Secondary with a music background and welcome candidates with enhanced IT skills. You’ll be working with autistic children in a school environment.

Awarded Ofsted Outstanding in January 2022, Sybil Elgar School offers educational support for children and young people between the ages of 4-22. We strive to provide the most suitable support required by our students to assist them with their learning and educational needs situated in our host authority of Ealing; Being a Teacher takes courage, patience and commitment. But working with autistic children gives so much more in return.

We are seeking Teachers with:

Qualified Teacher Status Teaching Experience (SEND/ASD) Proven knowledge of the Curriculum and the impact on pupils with autism Ability to lead and drive forward the coordination of designated areas of the curriculum across the school Passion for working with pupils with complex needs Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with an ability to lead by example Be excited about curriculum innovations and being part of a dynamic creative team
