What Will You Do

  • Working with
    the Customer Accounts team to maintain the Revenue Rec on a weekly basis,
    ensuring a full reconciliation identifying the key variances and closing them
    out and questioning the validity of the balances where appropriate

  • Post Monthly
    Revenue and Cost of Sales for the Shops & Clubs within various Parks under
    remit

  • Maintain Prepayments and Accruals from P&L and Balance Sheet perspectives
  • Full P&L
    reviews at Group level and individual Parks, Business Partnering with the Park
    General Managers to establish a close working relationship and being the ‘Go
    to’ person.  This includes but is not
    limited to Variance analysis against budget and trend
  • Full
    Ownership of the HGL Balance Sheet, ensuring full understanding of exposure
    within and interrogation of the balances and transaction held, this includes
    but is not limited to Fixed Assets, Bank reconciliations and postings, VAT
    Returns and Intercompany
  • Supporting
    the FM on annual budgeting process, being an integral point of contact and
    understanding the numbers and business to enable to challenge the business
    where needed
  • Supporting
    the FM on process improvements and efficiencies
  • Supporting
    the FM on any system improvements and highlighting limitations or nuances as
    they arise
  • Supporting
    the FM on the Audit for the HGL entity, both at Interim and End of Year
    ensuring tasks are correctly allocated and completed within the required time.
  • Supporting
    the FM to implement key controls and support for Balance Sheets to maintain a
    clean Audit
  • Work closely
    with the Purchase Ledger team to improve processes which in turn enable a clean
    P&L and Balance Sheet
  • Any other
    adhoc tasks required by the HOF and CFO


What Will You Bring

  • ACCA /CIMA qualified or currently studying    

  • Excellent numeracy
    skills
  • Advanced experience using
    Excel including Pivot Tables, V-Lookups and basic formulas
  • Basic understanding of
    financial transactions including double entry bookkeeping
  • Methodical, accurate
    and able to meet deadlines
  • Able to communicate at
    all levels of the business, to a wide range of internal customers
  • Able to work within a
    fast paced environment
  • Enjoy the challenge of
    ad-hoc projects
  • Able to travel to our
    holiday parks around the country when needed
