Your new company
This ambitious retail business has exciting growth plans for the coming years and already has over 450 stores nationally through recent acquisitions. They're expanding their finance team and eager to hire professionals who will support them on their journey to becoming a UK leader in their field.
Your new role
You will be leading a team of accountants, including their development, and overseeing the financial reporting and management accounts, plus the preparation of year-end statutory accounts compliant with IFRS & local GAAP. You will be supporting the senior leadership and the board on financial matters. You'll regularly assess the finance systems and processes, implement the latest accounting policies and standards. You will review the balance sheet reconciliation process for multiple entities, and month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial tasks.
What you'll need to succeed
You'll be fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) and have a thorough understanding of IFRS and / or Local GAAP, plus confidence in delivering strategic direction to senior leadership. You will have experience of leading teams of accountants, and can develop robust processes and controls required within group finance. You will have led teams of accountants and will have worked in a demanding, high-growth environment, adapting to change, and always offering leadership and mentorship that inspires those around you.
What you'll get in return
