Job Description

Step Teachers are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant specializing in Primary Education. This post is scheduled to begin immediately in September 2024. This is a long-term supply role in which you will be assisting Year 2/3 students. You will get the opportunity to work at an Ofsted-rated 'Good' Primary school in, London. This school 'equips children with the skills and knowledge to achieve their true potential and inspire them with a rich and varied curriculum.

Teaching Assistant - Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to children within Early Years following the EYFS framework.
  • As a Reception Teaching Assistant, you should be able to plan and execute enriching activities to enhance student learning and development.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with the Class Teacher and other staff members.
  • As a Reception Teaching Assistant, you should be able to identify and address the additional support needs of students.

 Teaching Assistant -Requirements:

  • Level 2/3 qualification is essential.
  • SEN Reception Teaching Assistant must have previous experience in an Early Years setting within a mainstream school.
  • A nurturing nature and the ability to inspire learners of all abilities.
  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably with SEN experience.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and young people, with a patient and empathetic approach.
