Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is delighted to offer the opportunity to join our team within Emergency Medicine as a Band 7 Emergency Nurse Practitioner

We are looking for a motivated and innovative person who is an expert in Minor injury and illness management, to enhance our established service.

The successful candidate needs to have excellent communication skills, be able to manage themselves and others and be able to demonstrate their proficiency as an experienced ENP within the speciality of minor injury and illness management.

This post may incorporates cross site working and covers a 24/7 service which will include days, nights and weekends.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate would be expected to provide a quality minor injury/ illness service to patients attending the Emergency Department as an independent and autonomous practitioner in line with the trust values.

The post holder will provide leadership to band six and student Emergency Nurse Practitioners, assist in their supervision, development, and management.

You will be responsible for monitoring and development of standards in the delivery of a minor injury / illness service, for the ENP, nursing and medical teams. This will include formal and informal teaching in the department and Oxford Brookes University .

You will assist in the development of research-based nursing practice within the Emergency Department, through the implementation of evidence-based practice.
