Senior Theatre Practitioner/Scrub Nurse Essentials:
• Essential registration with the NMC or HCPC.
• Strong clinical background as a Scrub Practitioner in various surgeries, including orthopedics.
• Essential qualification and experience
• Demonstrated high standards of verbal and written communication.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Flexibility, accountability, and the ability to respond to urgent matters in a calm, well-measured, and informed manner.
• Ability to present information accurately, clearly, and concisely.

Senior Theatre Practitioner/Scrub Nurse Core Responsibilities:
• Assist the Theatre Manager and Deputy Theatre Manager in delivering and managing patient care within the theatre.
• Provide skilled assistance to surgeons as a Senior Member of Staff
• Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver pre- and post-operative patient-centred care and customer service.
• Offer guidance, support, clinical scrub expertise, and leadership to the Theatre team, ensuring effective utilization of resources.
• Demonstrate clinical expertise in specialized areas, proactively enhancing service quality.
• Ensure daily preparation of the theatre in compliance with quality standards.
• Adhere to internal procedures for equipment maintenance, reporting defects promptly.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including legal and quality records.
• Administer and manage medicines in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Coordinate and manage adequate stock levels of drugs, stores, and implants in liaison with the Theatre Manager and Procurement.
• Foster effective communication across the Hospital, including patients, team members, and Consultants.
