Phonics Intervention Assistant

Location: Chesterfield

Salary: £100 - £125 per day

GSL Education are looking for a Phonics Intervention Assistant to work within schools setting in Chesterfield.

About the role

A Phonics Intervention Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting students in Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4) who struggle with reading and phonics.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver targeted phonics intervention to pupils who need additional support.
  • Work closely with teachers to identify students' needs and tailor sessions accordingly.
  • Monitor and assess the progress of pupils and provide regular feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and confidence.
  • Ability to teach weak KS3 and KS4 students.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role within an educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of attendance and engagement strategies.
  • Capacity to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • A proactive and solution-focused approach.
