The Wiltshire Community Eating Disorder Service (WCEDS) is looking for an experienced Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Social Worker, with a passion for making a difference to adults who are suffering with an eating disorder, to join this busy multi-disciplinary team as the Deputy Team Manager.
You will be part of a team of dedicated and experienced multi-disciplinary professionals working with adults with eating disorders and their families.
As the Deputy Team Manager you will work with the Clinical Team Manager to ensure the successful and effective day-to-day operational management of the team so that it provides a responsive, high-quality service to patients referred. You will contribute to the clinical leadership of the team, providing supervision for other team members as agreed with the Team Manager and participate in the service development of the team.
With a reputation for excellence, our service provides a stepped model of care tailored to the individual’s needs for stabilisation and recovery. We offer a range of programmes and evidence-based treatments to assist with this. We are a friendly, energetic and dynamic team who are proactive and visionary, focusing on excellent patient centred care.

Main duties of the job
As Deputy Team Manager you will have specific lead areas of responsibility and will deliver a high quality, specialist assessment and treatment to patients referred to the team. Risk assessment and management including the need for positive risk taking is an essential part of the role.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
You will:
Work alongside the Clinical Team Manager and contribute to the clinical leadership within the Team. To deputise and provide cover for the team manager as required. Provide clinical advice and support for other members of the team. Develop an area of specialist practice and knowledge within the team and to provide specialist advice, information and supervision for other team members. Relevant professional mental health qualification: Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist , Social Worker with mental health experience Psychologist •Family Therapist •Psychotherapist Current registration with relevant professional body (e.g. NMC, HCPC) Teaching/mentoring qualification

Understanding and experience of working with adults and or young people with a wide range of mental health needs. Knowledge and experience of a range of evidence-based interventions such as motivational interviewing, solution focused therapy, psychological interventions/therapy (i.e. CBT/DBT)
