The Department of Archaeology is seeking to appoint a Teaching Administrator to join a small team of teaching and admissions administrators.

The post-holder will be responsible for the smooth running of teaching and assessment administration in the Department and line management of an Grade 4 Undergraduate Administrator.

The post-holder will also work with academic and professional staff colleagues to ensure the smooth running of a fieldtrip to a country in Europe or in the UK on an annual basis, and act as first point of contact to MPhil students.

Key responsibilities

Provide coordination and oversight to the delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching administration in the Department. Line-manage the Undergraduate Administrator. Service the Department's Teaching Committee, Director of Studies Committee (a total of 9 meetings a year). Organise the Easter fieldtrip for 20-25 second year students (liaising with the Fieldwork coordinator and academic lead for the trip). Ensure the smooth running of MPhil assessment and exams (with examiner meetings in June and September.) Ensure the smooth running of Part I assessment and exams (with examiner meeting in June.) Act as point of contact for around 65 MPhil students. Maintain MPhil student records.
